Divorce is one of life’s major events and just as with other major life events such as getting married, having a baby or searching for a new job you can work with a coach to help you through this.
- Are you feeling confused? Know what you need to get to but can’t figure out how?
- Are you feeling isolated? Don’t know who to talk to about what’s going on?
- Are you feeling overwhelmed with all the decisions?
While you may think you want someone else to make all the decisions for you and for all this just to be over, trust me, that’s not what’s best for you. What you really need is help making the best decisions for you and that’s what divorce coaching is all about.
Divorce coaching will help you identify your concerns and your priorities and then help you navigate your way.
I Don’t Have Time For More Appointments!
People joke about having to take a vacation from work so they can deal with their divorce but it’s no joke!
Juggling work, parenting and discussions with your spouse can be draining. Add lawyers and therapists into the mix and there may be little time for anything else.
That’s why I’ve designed all the modules in My Divorce Pal to be short, and focused. Most of the modules will take you less than ten minutes, fifteen minutes at the very most so you don’t have to worry about finding an hour to sit down at your computer. You could easily work on a module while you’re commuting to work, waiting for the pasta to cook or in that quiet half hour after the kids are asleep.
This module on When Your Child Doesn’t Want Visit will give you a good idea of what to expect.
But My Situation Is Different. It’s Complicated!
Every divorce is different. I’m not sure you could ever find two couples with exactly the same circumstances. There are just too many variables!
That’s why the modules in My Divorce Pal come with worksheets. These are what will help you to file divorce papers online and provide you with the information in the module to your specific situation. These worksheets can be printed off so you can work on them any time you have a few free moments during the day.
If you still have questions there’s an ‘Ask A Coach’ button on every module so expert help is close at hand and a complimentary coaching session is included with your membership.
I Don’t Know Where To Start
This is what makes divorce so overwhelming. It’s not a neat, orderly process and so many decisions are inter-connected or dependent on others.
This is why I’ve designed My Divorce Pal so you can work through the modules in any order and they are each stand-alone lessons so it’s not like reading a book or completing an academic course. You might decide to read about going public with your divorce one night, tackle financial preparations at the weekend and then when one of your kids comes home and is sick, suddenly wonder how this will work when you’re divorced.
You decide which modules to do when. And if that’s a decision you don’t want to make, then start with the first track and simply work through the modules in the order they’re presented.

Can I Afford This?
One of the most common complaints I hear about divorce is that it is expensive especially when it comes to legal fees.
Personally, I think the most influential factor here is the degree to which you and your STBX can identify the issues and resolve how to handle each. One of the keys to this is taking the time to research divorce and learn how others have coped with similar issues, what’s worked and what’s caused bigger issues, and then being able to communicate with your STBX.
My Divorce Pal is not legal advice and I always recommend that you seek competent, qualified legal advice. However, My Divorce Pal will help you identify your concerns so you are more prepared to discuss these with your attorney.
Another factor is not using your attorney for legal advice but rather using them to listen to your story, to vent about your STBX or to help process your emotions. My Divorce Pal will help you do this, and will help you understand and process your feelings. This is about making the most effective use of each of your resources.
I’ve priced memberships in the program to be very affordable at just $18 a month or less if you can commit to longer than just one month at a time. That’s about the cost of two meals at a fast-casual restaurant and less than two movie tickets. If it saves you one hour of an attorney’s time then chances are you easily cover the membership cost. You can find out about the different membership options here.
So you don’t have to do this alone and I’d really like to help you.
